About Us

Justine Proulx is a Métis tattooist and mural artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Treaty 1 Territory. With Ojibwe ancestry and deep roots in the Red River, she is a direct descendant of Paul Proulx, who served on Louis Riel’s Council during the Red River Resistance. She continually seeks ways to honour her heritage through her artwork, particularly through her Woodland-style paintings and murals. This art explores the connections and relationships between spirit, animals, nature, and people. Each piece is a call to action and a reminder of the vibrant spirit and legacy of Indigenous peoples. Through her art, Justine not only showcases Indigenous culture but also engages in a broader dialogue about identity, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward decolonization.
